What is Shareflow?
Shareflow is a simple, real-time group collaboration tool that enables groups to share ideas, files, and more, without the hassles of long email threads. Think of it as a private Facebook wall for a small group.
Is Shareflow right for my group?
Shareflow is great for discussion and file sharing amongst a small group, around a specific topic. It's a very flexible tool, but it was designed for a specific range of use cases:
- Simple commenting
Shareflow was specifically designed to be less complex than other more "wiki-like" collaboration tools. Shareflow doesn't allow you to edit other peoples' comments. Nor does it have nested comments. - Small groups
Shareflow is best when used with a small group, under 20 people. Additionally, for performance reasons, each flow has a limit of 100 invitations. - Direct participation
Shareflow is not a good mailing list! If you're looking to set up a subscriber mailing list, we suggest using a different tool. In certain abusive cases, we may close accounts being used as a mailing list, as it degrades system performance for everyone.
How much storage do I get?
Your Shareflow account has 1GB of storage, enough for you to share ideas, documents, and photos for years. Currently we are not offering larger plans.
Is there a limit to the number of people I can invite or flows I can create?
You can create as many flows as you like. Each flow is limited to 100 members.
How do I use Shareflow on my iPhone or iPad?
There's a free Shareflow iPhone app, available at the iTunes Store.
There is no iPad-specific app, but you can of course use the iPhone version on your iPad as with any iOS app, or use the mobile version of Shareflow with your iPad's Safari browser.
How do I use Shareflow on my non-iOS mobile device?
Shareflow has a lightweight mobile version that's compatible with Blackberry, Android, Palm, and other WebKit-based mobile browsers. Just login from your web-capable mobile device's browser as usual.
Is there a Shareflow desktop app?
There isn't a full desktop client for Shareflow.
However, you may wish to try the Shareflow Desktop Widget. It notifies you of new posts, lets you make comments and posts, and allows you to drag and drop files from your desktop into your flows.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
If you've forgotten your Shareflow password, click the "trouble logging in?" link on your Shareflow login page.

You'll be taken to the password reset page, where you can request a new password.
How do I stop/start getting emails about Shareflow activity?
To edit your notification options, click the "options" link in the upper-right of the Shareflow window to open the options panel.

You'll see options to turn on or off the two different types of email notifications.
